Low Arnside Cottage
Low Arnside (Sleeps 6) is situated approximately a quarter of a mile from the main farmyard down a single track and enjoys a very secluded position. The farmhouse was used in the movie - Miss Potter. Low Arnside is much loved by many people and is consequently always in high demand. The house is approximately 300 years old and has oak panelling, beamed ceilings, a spice cupboard and a log fire. All the rooms at Low Arnside have splendid views of the surrounding fells. There is a large entrance hall, which provides plenty of space for coats and boots. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and a small dining table. The lounge/dining room has a beamed ceiling and an open fire (logs and coal provided). The lounge also has a storage heater. Due to the secluded position of Low Arnside no TV signal is available. However, there is a cassette/CD player, video player/DVD and radio. A selection of games are also provided. A new bathroom has been installed in February 2008 providing a bath (with shower over), wash basin and WC. Heated towel rail and under floor heating . There are three bedrooms, which all have beams (2 double rooms and 1 twin room). There are storage heaters in two of the bedrooms and one on the landing.
An immersion heater controlled by a time switch provides hot water. Additional hot water can be obtained by the use of a boost button. High chair and travel cot are also available. Dogs (2) are welcome at Low Arnside. Parking for 2 cars available and enclosed garden. Garden furniture and barbecue provided.
